SMS Notifications — Booking & Service Messages

Koureia (operated by Hypandra, Inc.) sends transactional SMS text messages to help salon and barbershop clients complete booking and receive service updates. This page explains what messages you may receive, how booking-time acknowledgment works, and how you can opt out at any time.

What Messages Will I Receive?

Koureia sends transactional notifications only—no marketing or promotional messages. You may receive:

Appointment reminders — upcoming appointments with your salon or barbershop (typically 24 hours before)
Booking confirmations — when an appointment is booked, rescheduled, or canceled
Waitlist notifications — when a spot opens up that matches your preferences

Example Messages

Koureia: Reminder — Your appointment with your stylist is tomorrow at 2pm. Reply STOP to opt out.

Koureia: Your appointment on March 30 at 10am has been confirmed. Reply STOP to opt out.

Koureia: A spot opened up at your shop on Friday at 3pm. Book now or reply STOP to opt out.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity. Messages are sent only in response to events like upcoming appointments or booking changes. You will not receive messages if you have no upcoming appointments.

Booking-Time Acknowledgment

Booking-related SMS notifications are transactional service messages, not marketing messages. When booking online, you acknowledge that Koureia and the shop may send appointment-related texts to the phone number you provide.

When booking an appointment online, check the “I acknowledge booking-related texts” checkbox
Your salon or barbershop may also send transactional appointment updates for services you requested

By acknowledging booking-related SMS, you agree to receive text message notifications from Koureia and the shop at the phone number you provide. Message and data rates may apply.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time:

Reply STOP to any message you receive from Koureia
Ask your salon or barbershop to disable SMS reminders for your account

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS messages. You can re-enable notifications at any time. After opting out, some online booking and waitlist flows may require staff follow-up by another channel.
